1. Can I buy a walking stick for the wall at Mutianyu - if so, are they sold at the wall?
2. I plan to visit panjiayuan market on a sat. morning, I wonder what to do afterwards near the area. Anymore shopping I can do along the way back to my hotel in Wangfujing? Since I plan to visit Temple of Heaven and Pearl Market the same day and go to panjiayuan on a different day to give myself plenty of time looking arnd.
3. I would like to find out where to buy CDs of traditional Chinese music. I have not been in Beijing in 10 years and I am pretty sure I won't recognize much! I will be staying in the financial district and only have Saturday to do some shopping.
4. Is bargain hunter shopping better in Shanghai or Beijing? Not looking for anything specific.
Also, in Beijing, is the Silk Market better than the Pearl Market? Where is the flea market on the weekend? Thanks.
5. Is it along Xidan area? I was told that it's a great place to go for shopping.
6. Is that when buying things in Beijing we need to bargain hard before we part with our money? Does this stay true even when shop at big shopping mall like the Oriental Plaza in wangfujing? Or prices at shopping mall are fixed?
7. Silk Street Market and Yaxiu market seem too commercialized for me, are there any flea markets in Beijing that's like Panjiayuan, but open everyday, and where haggling is not part of the show?
8. What are the prices of luxury goods like Hugo Boss, Prada etc. at the airport? European or US level? US level is half the price of European shops. Do you recommend anything particular? Handbags, watches, etc?
9. What time does shop normally open in Beijing?
10. Where are the good outlets to buy such CDs? Chinese opera CDs (all genre's - Jingju, Cantonese, Yueju, Chaoju ) and Chinese traditional music CDs.
